Technology Framework

Students Always Our Priority

Osborn School District has state of the art technology with a high speed 100Mb Ethernet infrastructure.  All six schools have mobile projection systems and have wireless mobile labs.  Each school has a modern computer lab and Osborn Middle School has three complete computer labs for student use.  Technology is used not only by students in the classroom to access information and enhance learning, but also by teachers and administrators to improve the quality and content of instruction.  Results of District developed Trimester Benchmark Assessments in reading and mathematics are available to teachers using a web portal.  Teachers are able to share assessment information with students’ parents with the click of a mouse.

In addition, approximately 1300 desktops and laptops are available for student use in computer labs and classrooms.  Math, reading and music software is available across the district to enhance textbook adoptions.  In addition, mounted projectors, interactive smart boards and classroom performance systems (CPS) are available in our schools.  Moreover, the District installed projectors in each music classroom to display music notes to the students, thereby enriching the curriculum.  Our renovated web site has the added capability for donors to make a tax credit donation online.  Every office and classroom has access to an upgraded telephone and voice system.

Our network is protected by state of the art anti-virus & anti-spam software along with a CIPA Compliant web filter software to protect our students from accessing inappropriate Internet sites.  In addition, the Osborn School District is connected to Arizona State University-West Campus via special technology where ASU students and our teachers can pursue professional development and higher education.  Finally, our technology performance feedback from our schools indicates that our customers are highly satisfied with ongoing maintenance and service.
